2017/09/26 Day 9

Tuesday

Breakfast : Oatmeal, a little egg

Lunch : smoothie and natto
     snack - cruncky bar

Dinner : kombu and kimchi, egg chyanpuru, fried spring rolls

sancks - bite of ice cream

have to go to English Field Trip tomorrow - can't post for a while

2017/09/23 Day 6

Woke up at about 6:40 am (woke up earlier but went back to sleep)

Breakfast : last night's dinner - beef and tofu, pumpkin miso soup, broccoli and asparagus, eggs

Lunch : restaurant - saba fish, greens, gobou, kiriboshi daikon, no rice

Dinner : nuts, cheese, kimchi, no rice

no exercise again

2017/09/25 Day 8

Monday

Breakfast :  Oatmeal with cinnamon and sugar, 1 sausage, 2 eggs with cheese, cinnamon toast later

Lunch : pork and mushroom on rice

Dinner : little rice, chicken chunks with eggplant and green pepper, miso sauce, egg drop soup, kimchi, mozuku, cinnamon toast after dinner, bites of ice cream

2017/09/24 Day 7

Sunday  (OC day - model lesson)

Breakfast : leftover yakisoba with no noodles, (no eggs)

Lunch:  smoothie and natto

Dinner :  (hungry and ate a lot) rice with tororo-imo, kimchi, simmered sardines, soup with seaweed and chicken meat balls, some nuts, a few slices of pizza, 2 beers and olives

overdid it.
not a great first week.  I'm going to have to try harder.

watched an great scary movie "Get Out" and went to be after 1 I think...

2017/09/22 Day 5

Got up at about 7:40 (ignored alarm)

Breakfast - 2 eggs + cheese, last night's dinner (age dofu, kombu and veg. topping, miso soup, cucumber and chicken salad with sesame dressing)

Lunch - smoothie + natto

Dinner - skip but had about 6 nuts

pain + reflection  = progress
Did not do well at the meeting today.  Need to be better prepared and organized.

Went to bed at 9:30 with the boys

2017/09/21 Day 4

Woke up 6:30 - haven't exercised for 2 days
Not quite going to plan

Breakfast - 2 eggs and oatmeal with prunes

Lunch - smoothie and egg on rice

Dinner - skip

20 push up before going to bed at 11:30

2017/09/20 Day 3

Day 3

woke up late again, about 7 AM

Breakfast - 1 egg (sons had eggs) - snacked later on a bag of cashew nuts and drank smoothie in my office (didn't wait for lunch)

Lunch - natto pack and baked sweet potato

Dinner - mackerel simmered in miso, pumpkin soup, med. rice and curry.

snack - 2 cookies (didn't stop me this time)

got home from work a little after 7
watched rest of Tarzan (not even good) - can't seem to get my work done.

Went to bed about 12:00 am again

2017/09/19 Day 2

Day 2 Records

Got up at 7:30
No time for morning exercise

Breakfast : 2 eggs, pack of natto

Lunch : smoothie

Dinner : pork with stir fried veggies (bean sprouts etc), kimchi, and pumpkin soup with 2 tablespoons               of rice.

used the training room at work (leg curl, leg press, t-bar DL, shoulder raise)
walked about 2 hours (to work and back)

Just writing this record has been useful.  I wanted to snack after dinner but I thought I'd have to report it here so I stopped.

Got to bed at midnight (I stayed up to watch a movie)

2017/09/18 Why am I starting today?

This blog is to record my diet and general progress towards a healthier me.

Here is the plan:

Breakfast: (7 AM) 3 eggs + cheese / salsa
Lunch:      (12 PM) smoothie and natto pack
Dinner:     (7 PM) whatever is cooked and no carbs (try to meditate and journal before dinner)

No snacks except coconut oil and nuts (fruits or dried fruits if I have to have a sweet)

Kid's bedtime :  9:00
Take a walk and get to sleep by 10:30

Wake up at 5:30 (7 hours sleep)
shower
meditate   (20 min)
Journal     (10 min)
Yoga         (30 min until 6:30)
Exercises  (30 min)
Make oatmeal for the boys and eggs for me at 7

Leave to walk to work about 7:40 (arrive 8:40)
Leave work to walk home about 6:00 (arrive 7:00)
